Celebrating Community Service: How a Lost Guitar Became Page’s Traveling Trophy
During the 2023 Page Attacks Trash cleanup event, volunteers found a damaged electric guitar along N20 and Coppermine Road. Former Mayor Bill Diak kept the guitar in his office, but repairing it wasn’t practical. Instead, organizers turned it into a traveling trophy to honor groups that go above and beyond in keeping Page clean. The guitar now features a plaque explaining its origin and purpose.
This year,
Thompson Heating & Cooling earned the award after bringing a full crew, filling 31 bags of trash, and donating safety vests for youth volunteers. The trophy is intended to inspire community involvement and highlight exceptional contributors. The next cleanup will take place on April 18, 2026, when the guitar will be passed to the next standout group.
